‘For The Love Of…’ is The Climate Coalition’s campaign for action on climate change to protect the things we all love, from the British coastline to people everywhere.
Their mission is to make the world’s energy use 100% ‘clean’ within a generation.
Show the love for the places, people and life that we want to protect.
This year i’m busy supporting the campaign in as many ways as I can. The team at Chester & District Friends of the Earth (FoE) has already had a craft night and made green felt heart brooches to wear during February to start the conversations with people about climate change.
On Valentine’s Day, as part of my role as a member of Chester Devas Women’s Institute (WI), I encouraged the group to hold a meeting around the campaign. I had an amazing time teaching everybody how to make their own green heart brooches.
How to ‘show the love’:
- Make a green heart.
- Wear and share your green heart.
- Take your heart to all the places you love.
If you wish to make your own green heart to support the campaign all you need to do is follow this link.
Take a heart to a place you love
Climate change has already made its mark on the British landscape, where our lives play out and our memories are made. In fact, all over the world, people and the places they cherish are being affected by climate change.
Use the frame at the back of the Supporter’s Pack to take a picture of your special place. Share your picture across social media using #ShowTheLove and show everyone just how important it is that we don’t lose it to climate change.
